Leicester offers an unrivalled range of approved externally threaded fasteners for aircraft engines. The company is one of the few in the world competent in the manufacture of these high performance complex parts, and is capable of producing them on a very short schedule.
Industry-best lead times are further enhanced by participation in the Red Folder scheme, where guaranteed lead times of 2 to 4 weeks are available on most of the products.

Our History

Leicester was formed as Northbridge Fasteners in the 1950s to supply fasteners for early Rolls Royce turbine engines. Linread Group acquired Northbridge in 1988 and in 1995 merged it with Linread Aircraft Products to form Linread Northbridge, which has aerospace operating units both in Leicester and Redditch.

Today

Leicester continues to enjoy long term relationships with customers around the world, in part because of its ability to quickly anticipate and respond to its customers' needs, and in part because of its ability to reduce acquisition and inventorying costs over the life of the parts through tailored customer service programs.

Our Future

As a part of McKechnie Aerospace, Leicester is being presented with opportunities to grow its markets, including its number of parts approvals, and to collaborate with teams internal and external to McKechnie in the process of collaborative solutioneering.
